Randstad has partnered with a leading provider of hydraulic sales and repair services and we are seeking a talented Hydraulic Technician / Mechanic to join the team.

Position Summary:

As a Hydraulic Technician, you will be responsible for servicing and repairing a variety of hydraulic and pneumatic components, including cylinders, pumps, motors, and valves. Your duties will include diagnosing issues, disassembling and inspecting components, replacing or repairing parts, reassembling and testing units, and maintaining accurate repair documentation.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in hydraulic and pneumatic service and repair

  • Fluid Power Associates Degree or equivalent technical training preferred

  • strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills

  • Ability to read hydraulic schematics

  • Proficiency in using precision measuring instruments

  • Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods

  • Valid driver's license

Responsibilities

  • Service and repair various Hydraulic and Pneumatic component's cylinders, pumps, motors, and valves.

  • Tear down inspection and identification of parts to be replaced or repaired to bring component back to manufacturer and/or our specifications.

  • Diagnose problems and give repair recommendation

  • Inspect parts and various components to determine if they are within specifications.

  • Assemble and test components according to manufacturer and/or our specifications.

  • Test repaired units using manufacturer test specifications

  • Make necessary adjustments to repaired units.

  • Use precision measuring devices such as calipers, micrometers, bore indicators, and dial indicators.

  • Ability to operate lathes, milling machines, drill presses, hydraulic presses, hone machines, and similar equipment is a Plus.

  • Write clear and precise repair instructions that will be used by machinist and other technicians.

  • Basic computer skill proficiency.

  • Adhere to all relevant health, safety and environmental policies and procedures.

The essential functions of this role include:

  • working in a smoke free environment

  • manual lifting up to 50lbs
