Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated General Production Worker to join our team in the warehouse. The ideal candidate will be involved in the assembly of barrier systems and eyewear edging, requiring a basic understanding of hand tools and equipment. The role involves lifting and bending up to 40 lbs, running and setting up basic equipment, and following work instructions.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble barrier systems using hand tools and drills

  • Lift and bend up to 40 lbs during shifts

  • Run and set up basic equipment for eyewear edging (training provided)

  • Use measuring tools accurately

  • Follow detailed work instructions

  • Visually inspect lenses for defects using a magnifying glass

  • Update and maintain documentation

  • Package products into boxes and assist in the shipping area

Essential Skills

  • Basic understanding of hand and power tools

  • Ability to lift up to 40 lbs

  • Experience with assembly (minimum 6 months, preferably mechanical assembly)

  • Detail-oriented

  • Ability to multitask

  • Quick decision-making skills

  • Ability to perform at an above-average pace

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience with machine operation, packaging, and visual inspection

  • Knowledge of warehouse distribution, shipping, and receiving

  • Familiarity with computer support and ERP systems

Work Environment

This role is based on the production floor in a clean facility. You will be provided with your own working station and need to wear long pants and closed-ended shoes. The position involves rotating through different areas to assist in various production tasks, initially focusing on assembly.
