Minnesota Housing is hiring! We’re a mission-focused financial institution looking for a Community Lending Supervisor who will oversees the housing development and education, counseling and coaching programs and staff and manages relationships with internal and external customers/partners. The supervisor provides work direction and supervision to staff to ensure high quality customer service and activities that support reaching both the mission and business goals of the team.

Essential Job Duties

  • Manage the production of the Community Lending Team to ensure program outcomes meet policy and performance objectives.

  • Manage the workload of the team by prioritizing and reassigning work to balance workloads and meet deadlines, as well as managing the daily work with business partners.

  • Provide oversight and leadership for coordinating and monitoring team functions.

  • Collaborate with supervisors and managers as needed.

  • Lead cross-team collaboration.

  • Manage team member employee development, performance reviews, and ensure that personnel actions are undertaken in a timely fashion.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

To be qualified for and considered for this position, applicants must meet all of the minimum qualifications listed below.   • Four (4) years of experience in the housing industry.

  • Two (2) years of supervisory, team leader, lead worker or leadership experience.

  • Demonstrated communication skills, including ability to comprehend and communicate complex information in plain language.

  • Demonstrated strong analytical and communication skills, including ability to comprehend and communicate complex information in plain language.

  • A valid driver’s license and the ability to drive.

  • Cultural competency as demonstrated by skills for communication and interaction across cultures and awareness of one’s own world view and that different world views exist.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Business, Finance, Housing, Law, or Real Estate.

  • Five (5) years of team lead, supervisory, lead worker or leadership experience.

  • Experience administering Minnesota Housing programs.

  • Experience with homebuyer education, counseling, and coaching programs.

  • Housing development, Mortgage industry, or Policy analysis experience

Physical Requirements

Requires moving office items such as file folders and small office tools.
