This position is located at Central Office in St. Paul. This position will have the flexibility to telecommute, work a hybrid schedule, or work in the office. The incumbent will be required to complete a telework agreement. The incumbent may be expected to work in the office on occasion.

This position within the State Aid for Local Transportation Division will be part of a team that delivers the local, state aid, state transportation, and federal programs to counties, cities, and townships statewide. This position acts as a technical liaison and resource to leadership and local agencies in the State Aid for Local Transportation group. This position will provide support to the Jurisdictional Transfer Program.

Duties include:

· Assist the Projects Engineer with the implementation of program goals, objectives, policies and procedures for the Jurisdictional Transfer program.

· Assist the Projects Engineer with coordination between DSAEs and local agencies on the negotiation of jurisdictional transfers. Assist with providing any technical, historical, and legislative knowledge regarding jurisdictional transfers.

· Project management and assist with the project coordination, research and sharing of technical information related to special projects led or co-led by State Aid Operation.

Minimum Qualifications

· Licensure as a professional civil engineer with the Minnesota Board of Architecture, Engineering, Land Surveying, Landscape Architecture, Geoscience and Interior Design (AELSLAGID). If obtaining licensure through comity (reciprocity), a practice pending letter from AELSLAGID must be provided to MnDOT HR prior to starting employment.

· Experience with highway engineering practices and principles.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with roles and responsibilities of state, local, and regionals units of government.

Knowledge of Minnesota Rules Chapter 8820

Knowledge of State Aid policies
