As an Architectural Specification Writer, you will play a pivotal role in defining project success by crafting precise and comprehensive specifications. Your work will span exciting sectors such as food and beverage, healthcare, aerospace, and more, offering you the opportunity to make a meaningful impact with every project. Your role will include: Collaborating closely with Design Project Managers and Project Architects to develop detailed architectural specifications. Leading specification efforts across various architectural disciplines, ensuring alignment with project goals. Conducting specification kick-off meetings and coordinating ongoing discussions with project teams. Researching and integrating cutting-edge materials, products, and systems into project specifications. Mentoring and supporting team members in specification development, promoting best practices and standards. Contributing actively to Haskell's Specification Council to enhance industry-leading practices. What you'll need to thrive: Bachelor's degree in Architecture or equivalent experience. Minimum of 10 years producing architectural design documents, with a focus on specification writing. Strong proficiency in specification software such as MasterSpec, SpecLink, or SpecsIntact. CCS or CDT certification preferred, active membership in CSI a plus. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a keen eye for detail. Environmental Factors and/or Physical Requirements: While performing the duties of this job, this position is required to have ordinary ambulatory skills sufficient to visit other locations; and the ability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, and manipulate (lift, carry, move) light to medium weights of 10-50 pounds. Requires good hand-eye coordination, and arm, hand and finger dexterity, including the ability to grasp, and visual acuity to use a keyboard, operate equipment and read application/form information.
