Changing the age-old story starts with you - let's get you hired. Position: RN - Staff Development Specialist- Senior Living Hours: Monday through Friday, 8am-5pm. Full-time, 1.0 FTE Location: Onsite, travel required The RN - Staff Development Specialist is primarily responsible for overseeing new caregiver orientation, annual training, and instructing new caregivers and nurses in their roles at Lifespark. This champion for learning will provide ongoing education for Lifespark employees that meets compliance requirements, and is focused on caregiver supervision, engagement, and onboarding. The RN - Staff Development Specialist will collaborate with the clinical and leadership teams to ensuring caregivers learn and implement best practice measures and that Lifespark clients receive high quality care and customer service. Position Functions and Responsibilities Collaborates with Quality/Compliance Team and Nursing Team to maintain, edit, and further develop a learning plan. Participates in Centralized Orientation rotation as well as support for task delegation as part of new hire expectations. Implements the identified orientation plan with the new caregivers and nurses in a collaborative and engaging manner. Demonstrates use of strategies for successful precepting of the culturally diverse workforce. Reinforces with caregivers and nurses: The expectations of job responsibilities by position. Lifespark role-related resources, policies, and procedures Provides the caregiver with specific feedback related to their progress and general performance Uses standardized Skills Competency Checklist to track competencies, delegated tasks, and progress in the orientation plan. Oversees administration of annual skills requirements and collaborates with Regional Clinical Consultant and Senior Director of Clinical Operations. Demonstrates ability to diagnose learning and performance issues and implement/document responses to develop corrective plans. Positively and effectively models and reinforces Lifespark values that enhance an exceptional customer experience. Demonstrates critical thinking skills related to the process of care and facilitates development of characteristics in the new caregivers/nurses. Maintains the learning management system in conjunction with Learning, and coursework as needed for ongoing development of caregivers. Creates and coordinates opportunities for ongoing education for caregivers and other licensed clinicians to meet regulatory and license requirements and increase employee engagement. Completes all documentation in a timely manner and is responsible for all new caregiver competencies. Knowledge and understanding of all the rules and regulations that govern the responsibilities of caregivers and nurses at Lifespark. Promote safety in the workplace through real time coaching, and participation in safety awareness training. Flexibility of hours (w ekends, evenings) for training needs as deemed necessary by leadership.
