Park Nicollet Health Services Ambulatory Clinic Nurse, Gastroenterology in St. Louis Park, Minnesota

Park Nicollet is looking to hire a Registered Nurse to join our Gastroenterology team! Position Summary: Utilizes a systematic approach to nursing practice incorporating assessment, planning, nursing, diagnosis, implementation and evaluation in accordance with the nurse Practice Act, recognized professional standards and Park Nicollet Health Services policy. Accountability for the quality of care delivered, recognizing the limits of knowledge and experience; addressing situations beyond the nurse's competency; and performing to the level of education, knowledge, and skill ordinarily expected of an individual who has completed an approved professional nursing education program. Supports multiple areas within a clinic setting with strong interpersonal skill and flexibility while maintaining patient confidentiality and protecting patient rights. Promotes a safe and therapeutic environment of care and advocates for the best interests of individual patients. Resolves concerns or complaints regarding patient care or service. Work Schedule: Monday-Friday. 4 days a week. Hybrid remote Required Qualifications: Graduated from an accredited school of nursing Associate degree or diploma required Maintain a current Minnesota registered nurse's licensure. WI licensure required where applicable. Current BLS provider status in accordance with American Heart Association (AHA) guidelines No online only courses accepted. Demonstrates knowledge of age-related growth and development necessary to provide appropriate care to the patient population served and ensure safety of patients. Possesses the qualities of strong critical thinking skills and ability to multi-task Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing, and maintain standards of clinical skills and professional ethics as established by the Nurse Practice Act Critical thinking, Excellent Interpersonal Skills, Fluent in EMR (EPIC) use Understanding of Nursing Practice Act and Scope of Practice for various roles Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Nursing Ambulatory Nursing Experience 1 year of prior experience in nursing preferred Benefits: Park Nicollet offers a competitive benefits package (for eligible positions) that includes medical insurance, dental insurance, a retirement program, time away from work, insurance options, tuition reimbursement, an employee assistance program, onsite clinic and much more!
