Position Summary

This is a unique position where you will be a part of the technical team working in the field on a complex, secure, mission critical building construction site, programming, configuring, and testing the security systems currently being installed, and then transition to the role of technical specialist for the sustainment of the systems in support of U.S. Government operations and their mission. In this role position you will be responsible for implementing, administering, maintaining, testing, securing, and monitoring Badging Systems, Visitor Management Systems, Physical Access Control Systems, Intrusion Detection Systems, Video Surveillance Systems, Intercom Systems, IT Networks, and other Integrated Electronic Systems. As the mission requirements evolve, you will additionally assist the sustainment team in the performance of systems and equipment additions, deletions, and/or other configurational changes. Candidates must be able to accommodate flexibility in schedule, be neat in appearance, and be able to communicate professionally with customers and coworkers. Essential responsibilities and activities include but are not limited to:

  • This is not a work-from-home position; the job requires full-time physical presence at the site.

  • Have or be able to acquire required systems certifications (e.g. Software House CCURE 9000 and Bosch BVMS).

  • Willingness to initially work on an active construction and be an integral part of the construction team.

  • Stand-up, program, and configure systems to support their installation during the construction phase.

  • Work with the cybersecurity team posturing and troubleshooting systems during the construction and sustainment phases.

  • Manage physical security system support to meet operational requirements.

  • Analyze physical security system performance and recommend improvements.

  • Resolve complex system issues for physical security systems and networks.

  • Provide direct technical support and escalation.

  • Communicate with customers, manufacturers, vendors, engineers, and project leadership.

  • Train system users and other system support personnel.

  • Analyze and modify preventive maintenance checklists for system changes.

  • Troubleshoot system performance issues and implement corrective actions.

  • Perform preventive maintenance actions including back-ups, error log reviews, loading patches and updates, and integrity checks.

  • Organize and prepare detailed documentation of system performance, including service request records and analysis.

  • Perform installation and management of device firmware, equipment and system software, computer applications, and system and device drivers.

  • Perform all duties with minimal direct supervision.

Position / Candidate Requirements

  • Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and may meet eligibility requirements, including U.S. Citizenship, for access to classified information; active TS/SCI clearance REQUIRED

  • Education: Computer Science, Engineering Degree, or a Related Technical Discipline

  • 2+ Years of Experience with a Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Risk Management, Cybersecurity

  • 6+ Years of Experience with an Associate's Degree in Information Technology, Risk Management, Cybersecurity

  • 8+ Years of Experience with a High School Diploma

  • Must have or be eligible to obtain a Top Secret Security clearance with SCI eligibility. Must have or be willing to sit for a Polygraph.

  • Must have or be able to obtain an IAT Level 2 certification such as a CompTIA Security+ Currently resides in the greater St. Louis, MO area, or is willing to permanently relocate.

Required Progressive Experience:

  • Requires system administrator experience in performing triage on system problems, resolving the system. problems, analyzing system data to prevent problems, implementing new workstations, and system extensions.

  • Requires an understanding of Windows patching and vulnerability remediation.

  • Requires a basic knowledge of Windows active directory hierarchy and implementation.

  • Requires a basic knowledge of large-scale networking, VLANS, switching, and routing.

  • Requires reliable attendance at customer site during work hours required by customer.

  • Requires the ability to work flexible shifts that may include occasional nights, weekends, and holidays.

  • Must have reliable transportation for the purposes of getting to and from work.

  • This position will require some travel periodically to attend training, conferences, meetings, etc.

Desired / Advantageous Qualifications

  • Certified System Engineer ICAM PACS (CSEIP) Certification desired.

  • Certification/Experience in CCure 9000 Access Control Systems desired.

  • Certification/Experience in Bosch Video Management Systems (BVMS) desired.

  • Microsoft SQL Server Query writing and management experience desired.

  • Experience troubleshooting and maintaining Microsoft Server desired.

  • Installation and configuration of operating system software (i.e. Window 10/11 and Windows Server 2016/2019/2022) experience desired.

  • Experience programming/administrating Access Control Systems of any type desired.

  • Experience with installation, troubleshooting, and testing of security electronics equipment desired.
