Job Description
SUMMARY OF POSITION:
Monitor entry door and clothes change facilities for the Controlled Substance Buildings.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Prevent diversion as stated in Title 21 of the Code of Federal Regulations.
DEPARTMENT SPECIFIC FUNCTIONS:
Coordinate security alarm repairs.
Arrange and escort transfers of controlled substances between buildings.
Escort controlled substance trash.
Rotate from building to building to assist the other monitors.
Primary contact for alarms during shutdown periods.
Maintain door list and entry records for buildings.
Maintain alarm system daily and report problems.
Conduct monthly alarm tests.
Assist supervisors and facilitators as needed.
Maintain a safe working environment and adhere to good housekeeping practices.
Ensure active participation in the site’s safety program.
Other duties as needed.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Education: High School Graduate or equivalent
Experience: Security experience a plus
Preferred Skills/Qualifications: Organizational Skills, Works well with others
Skills/Competencies: Good Communication and interpersonal skills
Computer Literacy
Proficient in basic mathematics
Excellent record keeping and organizational skills
Other Skills:
Ability to adapt to change
Good Teamwork skills
Must be dependable and have an excellent attendance record
Ability to work a 13 hour day shift which includes weekends and holiday. The t ypical schedule is 5:30 am - 6:30 pm Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday with on call Monday and Friday. The schedule is subject to change.
This is a salaried non-exempt position.
Must be very flexible about work hours/schedule
Ability to be on call and work overtime as needed
