A Day In The Life

As our National AMI Sales Manager, you will:

  • Lead and Inspire: Direct a talented team of Sales Directors and Technical Application Engineers, fostering a culture of success and innovation.

  • Strategize and Execute: Develop comprehensive sales strategies that break new ground in the market, achieving and surpassing sales targets.

  • Build Relationships: Cultivate enduring relationships with key stakeholders, from high-level executives to industry influencers, ensuring Aclara is synonymous with excellence in water management solutions.

  • Influence the Market: Be the voice of Hubbell & Aclara, delivering compelling presentations and representing our brand with authority and integrity at industry events and trade shows.

  • Drive Growth: Identify new business opportunities, spearheading initiatives that solidify Aclara's market leadership and contribute to Hubbell’s strategic goals.

    Some Specifics:

  • Cultivate and maintain high-level relationships within customer organizations, ensuring access to all necessary levels for effective partnership.

  • Keep account information up-to-date in Salesforce.com and assist in managing and setting Sales Performance Quotas.

  • Participate in relevant industry trade shows and meetings as needed.

  • Build strong relationships with potential accounts before RFP issuance.

  • Lead the proposal response strategy process with Sales Directors and Technical Application Engineers.

What will help you thrive in this role?

Who You Are:

  • A seasoned leader with a Bachelor’s degree in Business or a related field, bringing at least five years of direct selling experience within the utility market.

  • A strategic thinker with a deep understanding of regional utility dynamics and regulatory landscapes.

  • A charismatic communicator skilled in negotiation and relationship management.

  • A proactive manager who thrives on mentoring and leading teams to exceed their goals.

  • Someone who is comfortable with traveling at least 50% of the time to engage clients and lead initiatives.

    Preferred Qualifications:

  • Over five years of specialized experience in AMI water sales.

  • A robust understanding of metering and meter reading technologies.
