If you are a Finance professional looking for an opportunity to grow, Copeland has a great opportunity for you! Based in our St. Louis, MO office, you will provide key reporting and analysis to the leadership team. You are agile at handling multiple deliverables at one time. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the overall coordination of the financial analysis, planning, forecasting, and reporting needs of the Electronics and Controls business. You will interact across multiple functions within the business to communicate the monthly planning process, and collect, compile, and analyze inputs for key Copeland reporting requirements, such as Quarterly Commitment Report, Annual Operating Plan, Long Range Plan and other internal management reviews of financial results and forecasts.

As A Manager, Financial Planning and Analysis, You Will:

  • Manage the collection, consolidation and communication of the monthly planning process and annual plan

  • Maintain data integrity, communicate process and timing requirements, and manage delivery of necessary planning outputs to established deadlines

  • Deliver the monthly reporting package (Quarterly Commitment Report or upside-risk assessment) and associated financial analysis to identify and explain variances

  • Collect, analyze, and interpret financial data, quantifying opportunities, risks, and provide insight and recommendations

  • Provide oversight to the annual budget and long range planning processes, working with business leaders and department managers to deliver department budgets that meet the overall financial objectives and strategic initiatives of the business

  • Maintain a financial model to enable the creation of platform P&L, allocating shared resources and expenses for both actual and forecast

  • Manage a team of financial analysts. Provide direction, coaching, and identification of career development opportunities

  • Identify and implement process improvements that enhance the quality of forecast outputs

  • Engage with technical teams and other resources working on data analytics initiatives to identify process improvement opportunities and ensure FP&A requirements are met

  • Participate in department and/or cross-functional projects and provide other ad-hoc analysis as needed

Required Education, Experience, & Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field plus eight (8) years of relevant experience, including prior supervisory experience

  • The candidate should possess knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles

  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including use of data downloads, complex formulas, and pivot tables

  • Proven proficiency with financial analysis and modeling

  • Must have the ability to meet strict deadlines and balance multiple priorities

  • Must have strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with key stakeholders, including senior leadership

  • Must be able to work independently with high attention to detail

  • Ability to travel up to 10%

  • Legal work authorization in the United States - Sponsorship will not be provided for this role

Preferred Education, Experience and Skills:

  • Advanced degree, CPA and/or CMA certification(s)

  • Knowledge of Hyperion Financial Management software

  • Prior experience with JDE or Oracle applications

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products (Outlook, Word, Power Point) including advanced functions

  • Familiarity with data analytics tools (Domo, Power BI, Power Query)

Flexible Work Schedule – Remote Work Option and Core Hours

This role has the flexibility of a remote work option up to three days a week and a core hour schedule. You can choose to flex your start and stop times given you are working during the core hours of 9:00 AM - 3:00 PM.
