Description

A.T. Still University's Missouri School of Dentistry and Oral Health (ATSU-MOSDOH) is seeking a full-time exempt Inventory Manager for its St. Louis, MO, campus. The manager oversees and manages the entire dental clinic inventory process.

  • Responsible for ensuring tracking of items checked out to students is done at every clinic session and outstanding items are reported on a daily basis.

  • Responsible for receiving and shipping out dental lab cases, ensuring patient payment has been made for each case, and maintaining a log of lab invoices.

  • Responsible for shipping and receiving of inventory.

  • Responsible for the equipment service agreements.

  • Works under the direction of the Director of the Business Operations Office to ensure inventory orders are within budgetary limits.

  • Reviews monthly expense reports and applies changes as needed.

  • Directly manages and trains dispensary staff.

  • Manages and advises supervisors of budgetary needs; communicates with faculty regarding clinic inventory needs and changes; manages month-end/year-end inventory close process; responsible for shipping and receiving.

  • Check out/in of disposable supplies and high dollar equipment to faculty/students/staff as needed for treatment of patient’s daily using Inventory cloud tracking software and manual check out sheets.

  • Accurately account for inventory on hand. Organize the structure and storage of inventory items. Order, track, and distribute PPE for all clinic departments.

  • Keep track of all equipment, equipment service accounts and dates, equipment repairs and provide quarterly reports of equipment repairs, and needs

  • Make recommendations for new equipment vendors and service contracts as needed.

  • Monthly inventory reports. Year-end inventory close with reports. Coordinates and assigns student lockers and manages locker key storage/assignments. Loss prevention/tracking of clinical equipment/instruments.

  • Preparing purchase orders and accurately recording items received. Managing and updating inventory-tracking software. Submitting maintenance and dental hardware work orders for the main clinic. Recording and tracking repair orders for main clinic equipment, Dispensary equipment, and Sterilization equipment.

  • Recurrent communication with purchasing; track and manage inventory (old, new changes, vendor negotiations); coordinating and communication vendor prices and changes with all MOSDOH clinics.

  • Manage employee timesheets/time off requests, disciplinary actions and performance evaluations. Responsible for hiring/termination of dispensary staff.

  • Conduit of communication for infection control, security, student orientations and new item requests.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain management

  • 2-to 3 Years of inventory/supply room experience is needed to implement inventory tracking system protocols.

  • Understanding of supply chain management, budgeting, asset tracking.

  • Must be a team player and have the ability to work well under high-pressure situations. Must possess excellent interpersonal skills.

  • Must have a mature, professional attitude at all times.

  • Must be flexible and organized with the ability to change assignments with little direction.

  • Must be able to solve problems and make sound decisions.

  • Must have compassion for patients/faculty/staff and students alike.
