Job Title: Facility Maintenance Technician

Job Description

We are looking for a skilled Facility Maintenance Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preventative maintenance and repairs across various properties in the St. Louis metro area and Charlotte, NC. Our team includes Commercial Specialists who commute to properties and a Multi-family Specialist responsible for the upkeep of Ball Park Heights. This role involves following standard operating procedures, installing, inspecting, repairing, and performing preventative maintenance on mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and waste management systems. The position requires adherence to service, quality, and safety standards.

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot and repair electrical, plumbing, building automation or energy management systems, door hardware, and basic construction principles.

  • HVAC troubleshooting including heat pumps, chillers, boilers, RTUs, VAVs, heat exchangers, pumps, etc.

  • Perform plumbing repairs and troubleshooting, including copper and PVC pipe repair and replacement.

  • Execute preventative maintenance tasks on physical structures, plumbing, HVAC, and electrical systems.

  • Collaborate with subcontractors and vendors as needed.

  • Respond to and complete tenant service work order requests regarding lighting, plumbing, heating, cooling, and other building problems.

  • Maintain knowledge of laws and EPA and OSHA regulations governing property storage and management of hazardous materials, including solvents, flammables, caustics, and refrigerants.

  • Maintain accurate records regarding preventive maintenance, service requests (received and completed), expenditures, and work-in-progress.

  • Diagnose and perform minor and routine maintenance/repair tasks daily.

  • Identify all utility meter cut-offs, fixture cut-offs, sewer cleanouts, and prepare maps indicating the same.

  • Climb and work from ladders, man hoists, or lifts, and repeatedly lift and carry heavy loads (up to 50 lbs.).

Work Environment

The work schedule starts at 7 AM or 7:30 AM with eight-hour shifts from Monday through Friday. There are opportunities for overtime. Commercial specialists work on a rotating on-call schedule, while the multi-family specialist is always on-call. The role involves working with various systems including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and waste management. Candidates should be prepared to climb ladders, work from hoists or lifts, and lift heavy loads up to 50 lbs. Dress code is appropriate for maintenance and repair work.

Job Type & Location

This is a Permanent position based out of St. Louis, Missouri.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $58240.00 - $72800.00

Standard benefits. Company vehicle provided for commercial technicians. Health, dental, vision, insurances. PTO

This is a fully onsite position in St. Louis,MO.
