BAE Systems Data Manager and Cataloger (Junior) in St. Louis, Missouri

Job Description

Are you interested in data management and library services? BAE Systems is seeking an entry-level Data Manager and Cataloger to work at the nexus of data and the intelligence mission. A Data Manager and Cataloger collects/maintains/stores collection of geospatial and textual products (maps, charts, CDs, DVDs, textual material, intelligence documents, handheld photography and digital datasets), maintain the library collection, and ensure that all products are fully discoverable.

Required Education, Experience, & Skills

  • Experience with virus-scanning software andprocesses.

  • Demonstrated knowledge of library clerical procedures andpractices.

  • Understandingworkingwithlibrarycataloguing standards.

  • 1-3 years of demonstrated experience maintaining and developingdatabases.

Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills

  • Bachelors in Geographic Information Systems (GIS), or related body ofeducation

  • Working knowledge of clericalpractices

  • Ability to remain flexible to changing priorities and requirements from supervisors andcustomers

  • Demonstrated experience planning, prioritizing, and managing assignments in a timelymanner

  • Experience with scientificcollections

  • UnderstandingoflibrarysciencesandMARC21,AACR2R,andRDAstandards

Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $58300 - $99100

Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
