Robert Half Cybersecurity Network Engineer in St. Louis, Missouri

Description We are searching for a Cybersecurity Network Engineer to join our team in St. Louis, Missouri. This role provides an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment focusing on network security within the tech industry. The ideal candidate will be skilled in monitoring tools and network security. We offer a long-term contract employment opportunity for this role.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement security measures for the protection of computer systems, networks, and information.

• Design and implement network security infrastructure and security protocols.

• Identify and define system security requirements.

• Configure and troubleshoot security infrastructure devices.

• Develop technical solutions and new security tools to mitigate security vulnerabilities and automate repeatable tasks.

• Ensure that the company knows as much as possible, as quickly as possible about security incidents.

• Write comprehensive reports including assessment-based findings, outcomes, and propositions for further system security enhancement.

• Continually update the cybersecurity strategy to leverage new technology and threat information.

• Brief and train team members on network security issues.

• Test and identify network and system vulnerabilities, and create counteractive strategies to protect the network. Requirements • Must possess a deep understanding of Network Security principles and best practices

• Experience in the usage of Network Monitoring Tools is required

• Proficiency in developing and implementing cybersecurity solutions and strategies

• Knowledge of cybersecurity protocols and procedures

• Ability to identify vulnerabilities and risks in network systems

• Experience in performing both internal and external security audits

• Ability to coordinate with IT teams to ensure network security

• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to stay updated with the latest trends in cybersecurity

• Relevant certification or degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or related field would be advantageous Technology Doesn't Change the World, People Do.®
