APTIM Civil/Environmental Engineer in St. Louis, Missouri

APTIM is currently seeking a mid-level Engineer to support remedial actions at the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) Formerly Utilized Sites Remedial Action Program (FUSRAP) project in St. Louis , MO. The role will include but not be limited to implementation and oversight of characterization and remediation activities associated with the removal of radiological constituents from impacted properties, property restoration, and facility maintenance. Strong interpersonal skills are required, including the ability to communicate clearly and confidently, both written and verbally, to all project team members including client representatives and APTIM colleagues alike.

Key Responsibilities/Accountabilities:

  • Provides technical support and oversight in all phases of remedial activities.

  • Independently evaluates, selects, and uses standards, techniques, and procedures for technical projects.

  • Collection, documentation, compilation, and interpretation of engineering field data for management review and subsequent incorporation into project documents.

  • Possesses the engineering experience and knowledge to establish scope, schedules and cost controls consistent with project objectives.

  • Collaborates with Sr. Project Team Members in the presentation and communication of project updates to Client Representatives.

  • Ensures conformance to applicable engineering codes and standards as well as company policies and procedures.

  • Work collaboratively in a team environment; possess a "Safety First" work ethic.

Basic Qualifications:

  • BS or MS Degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering.

  • Have 3-5 years of directly relevant experience.

  • Engineer in Training (EIT) designation from the NCEES, a plus, with ability to readily attain PE Certification.

  • Knowledge of AutoCAD, Autodesk Civil 3D, and ArcGIS software, a plus.

  • General knowledge of construction surveying and GPS surveying equipment

  • Valid Driver's License with Clean Driving Record required.

  • Possess or have ability to readily obtain OSHA HAZWOPER certification.

  • Ability to wear proper PPE for work on hazardous waste sites; lifting and physical work will be required.

  • Must be able to work in the field in all types of field conditions/weather.

  • Ability to pass company Pre-employment Physical and Drug and Alcohol Screening
