  About the Job

  The primary function of this role is to ensure accurate and timely processing of all payments of goods and services necessary for the operation of the Company.

• Serve as AP subject matter expert acting as the primary point of contact for all AP related issues.

• Manages AP organization personnel, including outlining job duties of each position & ensures personal development of everyone in department.

• Support month-end close as needed, including preparing monthly journal entries and account reconciliations.

• Develops and maintains AP procedures and policies to ensure adherence to Company guidelines.

• Leads process improvements, develops scalable processes, maintains SOPs and manages cross-training documentation for AP.

• Provides management reporting of all AP functions, including vendor agings, cash flow forecasts, and special situations.

• Promote and maintain excellent cross-department relationships between Finance, Procurement, and other departments to maximize efficiency and effectiveness of AP function.

• Initiates, develops, and maintains external relationships with vendors, financial institutions, service agencies, attorneys, accountants and others as required. Establishes similar relationships for subordinates.

  Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.

• 6+ years of experience in Accounting or AP.

• 3+ years of supervisory experience strongly desired.

• Familiarity with basic internal controls and general accounting concepts is required.

• Strong communication and people skills are required.

• Individual must be task oriented, and results driven.

  Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with robotic process automation or AI for AP is a plus.

• Familiarly with IFS is a plus
