BayCare is currently in search of our newest Medical Assistant Certified who is passionate about providing outstanding customer service to our community.

• Status: PRN

• Shift Days/Hours: Mon thru Fri 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM (Days/Hours Vary)

• Location: Tampa

• Weekend Work: None

• On Call: No

• Always in person

Responsibilities:

• Responsible to provide basic patient care assistance to the physicians

• Greets patients and ensures efficient triaging

• Records and documents vital signs

• Patient weight and basic medical history

• Prepares patient for physician examination

• Assists physician or APRN with procedures

• Provides instruction and basic education for various ancillary tests and procedures

• Performs EKG testing

• Maintains general appearance, cleanliness and safety of all patient exam and waiting rooms

• Ensures that all exam rooms and patient care areas are stocked

• Assists with various front office functions such as filing organizing patient medical records, insurance verification and authorizations, answers phone, monitors and maintains inventory and equipment

• Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• Required AAMA (American Association of Medical Assistants) certification

• Required High School or Equivalent

• Preferred 1 years Medical Assistant
