Altec is in search of an Inventory Control Associate to join the Final Assembly Materials team in St. Joseph, MO. In this position, you will have the opportunity to be involved in all aspects of the final assembly materials process and ensure part shortages and overages are minimized.

Purpose Of Position:

Ensures appropriate inventory levels and minimizes risks of inventory obsolescence.

Major Responsibilities:

  • Analyze reports to determine usage and age of inventory.
  • Review inventory for potential obsolescence or risk of loss.
  • Recommends disposition of aged or obsolete items.
  • Coordinates and/or performs verification audits of inventory.
  • Research white ticket requests and identify root causes and corrective action.
  • Research of overages from Job Picks from all Lines
  • Lead, participate, and/or support RCI activity and cost reduction goals.
  • Coordinate returns of goods to suppliers.
  • Work with Engineering to develop alternative uses for slow-moving inventory.
  • Review data to determine opportunities for Kan-Ban or alternative replenishment methods.

Qualifications:

  • High School Degree or equivalent required.
  • Microsoft Office suite experience preferred. Excel and Word are required.
  • Knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures for both Materials and/or
  • Production.
  • One-year applicable Oracle experience required.
