::: {dir="auto"} Applicants must have an unrestricted Michigan driver's license with a commercial driver's license class A with an 'N' endorsement. Applicants must have a high school diploma or GED equivalent, be able to read all gauges on equipment, accurately estimate distances for the safe operation of equipment, and understand/apply traffic laws. :::

::: {dir="auto"} Heavy Truck Drivers have an annual salary of $53,643 and this is just part of a comprehensive benefits package. Long-term employees at the Road Commission can expect to retire with a lifetime monthly retirement benefit that could equal approximately 50% of their pre-retirement income.
