Job Description
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
· Maintain a safe and clean internal building appearance through good housekeeping, organization, and management of walking surfaces
· Follow work schedules to complete all required cleaning and sanitizing, and complete non-routine cleaning according to specified job orders
· Perform custodian duties, such as vacuuming, sweeping, mopping floors, picking up debris, emptying trash cans and recycling, and general cleaning; these activities may include using equipment such as floor sweepers, polishers, vacuum cleaners, and dusters
· Maintain all restrooms, locker rooms, breakrooms, and footbaths in a sanitary manner; replenish supplies and paper products in break room and restrooms
· Maintain inventory of cleaning and other supplies; notify appropriate contact or update supply sheet to re-order supplies
· Maintain cleanliness and safety of exterior of building; maintain outdoor facilities and grounds, which may involve operating a variety of power equipment for general grounds maintenance
· Handle emergency cleaning and upkeep requests
· Use chemicals to sanitize and clean the facility
· Perform related duties as requested by environmental health and safety (EHS), maintenance, management, or other staff members (e.g., help to coordinate and/or prepare for inspections and special events)
· Distribute personal protective equipment (PPE) when needed
· Follow all safety requirements and wear proper PPE
· Implement all DFA GMP’s and work in a manner consistent with all corporate and regulatory, food safety, quality, and sanitation requirements. Inform QA personnel of any quality issues

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
· High school diploma or equivalent
· Janitorial or cleaning experience preferred
· Certification and/or License – may be required during course of employment
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
· Knowledge of cleaning and sanitizing chemicals
· Able to work safely and follow established policies and procedures
· Able to follow directions and carry out instructions with little supervision
· Able to legibly write entries for record keeping
· Able to perform simple math
· Must be able to read, write and speak English
