SCHEDULE: Hourly Hours may vary based on program needs REPORTS TO: Supervisor of Nutritional Services, First Cook, Building Principals SUPERVISION: Assist with supervision of kitchen personnel SALARY: $19.62 - $20.34/hour QUALIFICATIONS: Required High school diploma or equivalent 1-3 years' work-related experience Certified Food Protection Manager License issued by the Minnesota Department of Health Preferred Bilingual Basic cashiering skills Knowledge of customer service principles POSITION SUMMARY: Under the direction of the Nutritional Services Supervisor, assist the First Cook to prepare, order, serve, record, manage and evaluate menu items for daily production of the breakfast/lunch program; assist with the supervision of all kitchen personnel. Second Cook will assume all responsibilities of the First Cook in their absence ESSENTIAL DUTIES: Assume responsibilities of First Cook (in their absence) Assist with supervising/directing of kitchen personnel Assist with maintaining and recording all food temperatures, including the serving lines Assists First Cook in preparation of main dishes Display/stock food on serving line Serve and/or assists students/staff Operate/clean/maintain kitchen equipment and cooking utensils Restocks inventory from shipments May complete daily production records Other duties as assigned PHYSICAL FACTORS: Frequent: walking, standing, sitting, hearing, talking, seeing, and repetitive motions Light Work: lifting up to 40 pounds and/or exerting up to 20 of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or negligible amount of force constantly to move objects BENEFITS: District 742 is a proud employer of choice for the St. Cloud area, offering numerous benefits and competitive wages.
