St Cloud School District 742 Long Call Sub - Occupational Therapist in St. Cloud, Minnesota

SCHEDULE: Long Call Sub 4-5-25 to 5-31-25 Supports Oak Hill and Discovery Elementary FTE --Hours may vary based on program needs REPORTS TO: Executive Director of Special Education/Student Services, Building Principals SUPERVISION: None SALARY RANGE: $49,141 - $90,362 /year QUALIFICATIONS: Required Registered Occupational Therapist (OTR) license through the MN Department of Health Preferred Previous related experience POSITION SUMMARY: The OTR assesses students with various physical, neurological, sensory and perceptual impairments to determine their functional skills within their current educational placements. The OTR is responsible for developing, implementing, and/or monitoring therapeutic programs and providing consultation to school staff and parents to maximize student skills. The OTR provides coordination of related allied health services for District students, awareness and inservice training of parents, teachers and community agencies. ESSENTIAL DUTIES: Screens and evaluates students with physical, neurological and sensory impairments. Conducts appropriate evaluations of children referred for possible educational needs and prepares written reports of the evaluations conducted and the findings. Participates in meetings as a member of the IEP team. Participates in the development of IEP's for children found to have educational needs. Assists team in writing goals to facilitate the child's greatest functional independence within the school setting. This would also include review of plans and programs with the staff and family. Provides indirect and direct occupational therapy to children with needs in areas listed under Intervention Section that affect learning in an educational environment. Implements appropriate intervention programs to facilitate optimum functioning and enhances a student's ability to learn and develop with the current academic placement. Participates in regional, cooperative and District OT professional activities and delivery systems.
