Job Title:           Academic Interventionist & Assessment Coordinator

Organization:       Athlos Academy  

Location:              St. Cloud

Reports To:          Executive Director 

Hiring Status:       At-Will 

FLSA Status:        Exempt 

FTE:                      1.0 

Schedule:             Monday – Friday 6:45 am – 3:15 pm 

Reporting Days: 176, 10 months 

Compensation:   Salary 

Starting Pay:       $44,290-$72,718; DOE.

Start Date:           August 19, 2024

Minimum Qualifications Required: 

     Education:       Bachelor's degree or higher

     Experience:     3 or more years classroom experience preferred 

     Certification:   Valid local state teaching certificate in assigned content area 

     Background:   Clear FBI background check  

     Language:       Strong verbal and writing skills in English

Job Duties:

Academic Interventionist

 

  • Provide   high quality instruction to individual students and small   groups.   Use   data to provide instruction to students and to bring their skills to grade- level in reading and math.

  • Model the Athlos culture by exemplifying the 3 Pillars: Prepared Mind, Healthy Body, and Performance Character 

  • Implement an approach to coaching and learning that is collaborative, student-centered, and  data driven.

  • Collaborate   with teachers, administration, and families to help identify best practices for individual and small groups of  students.   Support all teachers in a collaborative model of observation, conversation, and lesson  demonstration.

  • Use   identified research-based interventions focuses specifically on individual student   needs.

  • Maintain   data-based documentation of continuous monitoring of student performance and   progress.   Provide   data to school teams and participates in decisions about student   progress.

  • Communicate   with teachers, administration, and families regarding student   progress.

  • Assist   with identifying students for placement in intervention   groups.

  • Participate   in meetings with teachers, administration, and families to discuss student placement and  progress.

  • Provide   diagnostic assessments for students as   needed.

  • Provide   input for program   development.

  • Support   implementation of assessment tools and data management systems

    Assessment Coordinator

  • Provide coordination for state testing and accountability program.

  • Manage all facets of achievement testing to include storage, security, inventory, ordering, scheduling, delivery and pickup, scanning, scoring, pre-coding, test disposal, testing modifications, printing of scoring reports, and distribution of scoring reports to schools.

  • Provide appropriate training regarding test administration requirements for school audiences and curriculum and instructional staff.

  • Coordinate all testing and test-related activities that are a part of county-wide testing program.

  • Coordinate in developing short- and long-term planning for testing administration.

  • Provide data reports test results for admin 

    Other duties as  assigned.
