The City of St. Charles Human Resources Department is recruiting for seasonal Shuttle Cart Drivers for the St. Charles City Transit within the Convention and Visitors Bureau Division.

This position is seasonal part-time and no benefits are included with this part-time position.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

The following duties are normal for this position. These are not to be construed as exclusive or all-inclusive. Other duties may be required and assigned.

• Follow specified routes and transports passengers under limited supervision.

• Greet passengers; assists passenger with special needs board and de-board.

• Conduct vehicle inspections and reports deficiencies to the Supervisor.

• Maintain vehicle for public use - empty trash, sweep interior floor, wipe seats, etc.

• Provides directions and information about schedules, and operations.

• Respond to public inquiries or complaints. Conduct periodic passenger surveys.

• Drive shuttle cart via designated route on Fridays (5pm-10pm), Saturdays (12pm-8pm) and Sundays (12pm-7pm).

  Minimum Training and Experience Required

• High School diploma or G.E.D. equivalent

• Must possess a valid driver's license issues by the State of Missouri, a clean driving record and maintain financial responsibility as required by chapter 303 RsMO.

• Previous passenger and/or public driving experience preferred.

  Physical Abilities Required to Perform Essential Job Functions

• Specific vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus; as well as ability to distinguish between some sounds and smells.

• Employee is regularly required to use hands and feet to touch, feel, and operate object, tools, and controls.
