What would I be doing?

Relays food from kitchen line to guest or server after checking accuracy and presentation of food order and busses tables quickly and quietly. Keeps the dining room clean throughout service.

Responsibilities

• Bus tables after each course.

• Assist the host staff with greeting and seating guests pleasantly, quickly and efficiently.

• Assist other team members in job functions when appropriate.

• Communicate problems/situations to management or relief personnel.

• Be able to answer the phone properly and take reservations when appropriate.

• Must be aware of business needs, station assignments and breaks

• Must be able to handle cash transactions in an emergency situation to cover the cashier for short periods of time.

• Knowledge of safety procedures

• Remove debris (i.e., napkins, straw wrappers, and other materials) from the floor as required or necessary.

• Monitor door at all times to insure prompt seating of guests.

• Responsible for cleanliness of all side stations, tableware, clean floor, salt and pepper shakers, sugar, etc.

• Adhere to all prescribed Service Standards and Service Sequence.

• Must be able to handle “guest recovery” situations.

• Have fun

• Bus tables at conclusion of guests leaving by wiping the entire table, chairs, and booth seats. Must adhere to all prescribed Service Standards and Sequence of Service.

• Inspect entire floor area for cleanliness.

• Reset tables in perfect order

• Maintain cleanliness and supplies in side stations.

• Work in conjunction with the food server to meet the guest’s needs.

• Outgoing and friendly interactions with guest and fellow team members.

• The ability to create a welcoming and appreciative environment for our guests

What are we looking for?

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

(Related education and experience may be interchangeable on a year for year basis)

• One (1) year experience as a busser with exceptional work habits.

• Good guest service/hospitality skills.

• Must be able to successfully complete a TIPS training class. (Responsible service of alcohol)

• Able to read and write English sufficiently in order to communicate with fellow team members, management, and guests

• Must be able to work in Boyd Style

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS: (Licenses, Certifications, Testing, etc.):

Must successfully pass background check

Must successfully pass a drug screening

Must be 18 years of age
