WGL - Lead, Business Solutions, SAP Technologies
Reporting to the Manager, Digtial Business Solutions - Utilities, you will be responsible for leading a team which directly supports our key business stakeholders in pursuit of strategies that drive operational excellence. Your team will serve as the SAP Technology digital solutions partner for Utilities, responsible for on-going engagement, management of demand backlogs, delivery of digital sustainment services and application development, ensuring those processes serve our current business needs, but also evolve and mature into modern delivery methodologies.
You will:
Help our US Utilities (i.e WGL & SEMCO) businesses transform by leveraging enterprise technologies to accelerate value delivery across the firm. As a transformational leader, you’ll bring the energy necessary to build culture, develop talent and generate momentum necessary to sustain us on this journey.
Lead the “run” component of our “plan, build, run” delivery model for your area of domain expertise, by maintaining a stable application landscape which supports our business operations; you’ll partner with your Digital colleagues to ensure our “plan and build” functions adequately support application lifecycle, growth, and business innovation needs across the portfolio. You’ll help drive integration and efficiencies across our various business units.
Establish and maintain a process for regular Digital alignment with US Utilities stakeholders, ensuring broad understanding of business strategies, activities, drivers, requirements, solutions & alternatives being considered.
Oversee your team’s process to manage & prioritize business needs and consolidate sustainment demand across the various business functions, maintaining product backlogs that reflect the current organizational priorities and bring visibility to the resource requirements necessary to achieve our objectives
Coordinate delivery of Digital services across your area of responsibilities by our outsourcing service providers and internal shared service functions (i.e. Enterprise Platform), ensuring value is realized from the delivery services.
Ensure your team integrates with Digital architecture & planning functions for any strategic demand needs that may require high levels of funding, architectural oversight, etc.. You’ll also ensure integration with Program Delivery & Execution functions, helping to ensure successful delivery of new projects or initiatives and to transition these projects from delivery to sustainment mode.
Lead application operations support, testing, and issue resolution, ensuring the team acts with a “sense of urgency” in response to normal or emergent/incident needs
Oversee the conduct of Root Cause Analysis in response to incidents, ensuring a continuous learning and improvement environment is maintained
Establish processes for risk identification and mitigation across the application portfolio, ensuring continuous improvement in our Digital risk posture
You have:
● Bachelors degree in computer science, engineering or technical discipline required
Five to ten (5 to 10) years experience leading Digital teams at scale, supporting enterprise technology applications operations
Business experience in gas or electric utilities operations is strongly desired; will consider related experience in other industrial domains
Must be able to effectively interact with and communicate with business partners at every level throughout the organization
Some cloud experience, either operating in or transitioning applications to the cloud; prefer Azure cloud experience
Experience managing ERP solutions, including SAP technical (i.e. SAP Basis and Security) is required
Experience managing enterprise integration technologies (API, EAI, mulesoft) preferred.
Experience with Data Analtyics and Robotic Process Automation is preferred
Experience with application and/or infrastructure outsourcing relationships, contract management & service delivery is required
Knowledge and experience managing teams using, or transitioning to, modern delivery frameworks, including Agile, SCRUM, or DevOps
Knowledge and experience using data to gain insights which drive favorable business outcomes
Leadership acumen necessary to help transform and build high-performing teams in a values-based environment
Salary:
We offer a competitive salary range of $116,000 - $159,000 per year, commensurate with experience, education, and skills. In addition, we provide a comprehensive benefits package including health insurance, retirement plans, and paid time off.
