Navy Systems Management Activity SUPERVISORY OPERATIONS RESEARCH ANALYST in Springfield, Virginia

Summary You will serve as a SUPERVISORY OPERATIONS RESEARCH ANALYST of NAVY SYSTEMS MANAGEMENT ACTIVITY. Responsibilities You will conduct data collection, research and analysis of programs and emerging technologies. You will build quantitative tools, models and dashboards for the integration of data on programs. You will perform analysis to help senior Navy leadership make informative decisions concerning cost, budget, schedule and acquisition approach over the life cycle of major programs. You will convert mathematical analytical findings into well-articulated, concise written products and complete detailed documentation of analytical data and methods. You will deliver oral and written presentations of findings, defending your analysis and the analytical results to senior leaders. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications In addition to the Basic Requirements for this position, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-14 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Utilizing automated human resource systems to initiate and track personnel actions for recruitment, promotion, awards, realignment actions, etc.; 2) Applying skill in the application of current organizational and management practices and procedures to solve organizational, management, or personnel management problems; 3) Developing and executing budgets; and 4) Coordinating with a variety of stakeholders to provide administrative support on human capital objectives. Education Applicants must meet the following positive education qualifications requirements of the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualifications Standards Manual. Applicants must posses: Degree: in operations research; or at least 24 semester hours in a combination of operations research, mathematics, probability, statistics, mathematical logic, science, or subject-matter courses requiring substantial competence in college-level mathematics or statistics. At least 3 of the 24 semester hours must have been in calculus. Additional Information This position is covered by the Department of Defense Priority Placement Program.
