V2X Senior Facility Security Officer (FS0), INSCOM in Springfield, Virginia

    This position is contingent based on contract award.

Responsibilities

  • Sr. Facility Security Officer responsible establishing, maintaining, and operating a SCIF in an effective worldwide, comprehensive Security Program. Maintain security clearances, facilities, personnel, and a listing of approved personnel for access.

  • Coordinate and monitor sensitive aspects of the DOD, DOE or other industrial security program; ensuring compliance with government and company security policies and procedures.

  • Monitor and conduct security briefings and security education programs.

  • Investigate or oversee the investigation of losses and security violations and recommends corrective action.

  • Update inventories of SCI materials.

  • Implement global and site-specific security procedures, checklists, process controls and practices for SCI including preparation of documents and destruction of records.

  • Interface with Government Special Security Officer (SSO) for approved/certified processes and periodic security inspections.

  • Submit security clearance paperwork and supporting documentation through the SCI screening process.

  • Manage the physical security of operating facilities, equipment and documentation.

  • Assist with information security policy and procedure development and implementation.

  • Available to deploy to other countries and/or theaters to perform quick reaction technical support to US forces worldwide military contingency missions and requirements in potentially hazardous work environments.

  • As required assist in oversight or escort for contractors on repair/renovation projects.

  • Establish, maintain and operate a SCIF.

  • Prepare SCIF accreditations.

    Supervise junior security personnel.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent and ten years of related experience or;

  • High School diploma and 14 years’ related experience with DSS FSO certification supporting SCI facilities and personnel security clearance activities.

  • In-depth knowledge in DOD or other industrial security program and in-depth knowledge of the DOD or other government security regulatory manuals.

  • Ability to instruct others in security procedures, requirements, protocols and operations.

  • Working knowledge of the following Department of Defense and Industrial Security Requirements: 32 CFR Part 117, National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual; DOD 5220.22OMSEC Supplement to Industrial Security Manual for Safeguarding Classified Information; DOD 5200.01DoD Information Security Program Regulation; DOD 5105.21, Vol 1 Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI); and Contractor Administrative Security Volume 1.

  • Working knowledge of at least one of the armed services regulations equivalent to AR 380- 40 (Safeguarding - Bachelor’s degree or equivalent and ten years of related experience or; -High School diploma and 14 years’ related experience with DSS FSO certification supporting SCI facilities and personnel security clearance activities. PSW 5.4.9 and Controlling Communications Security Material (This document is confidential); (AR 380-5 Army Information Security Program; AR 190-13 The Army Physical Security Program.

  • Fluent in the English language (written and oral)

  • US Citizenship, Top Secret (TS) security clearance with Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI) with eligibility for Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI).

  • Some positions or assignments may require a Counterintelligence (CI) Scope Polygraph, especially those requiring access to TDN2.
