Timber Products Company HR/Payroll Functional Analyst in Springfield, Oregon

POSITION SUMMARY:

The HR/Payroll Functional Analyst provides support for the technical and business process needs of the HR and Payroll departments. Ensure data integrity and effective system utilization to meet the Company's organizational and operational needs. The analyst will utilize skill and experience to participate in HR and Payroll related projects and system upgrades.

MAJOR TASKS:

  • Supports the technical and business needs of HR and Payroll Departments.

  • Develops reports/dashboards to meet company’s organization and operation business needs.

  • Researches and resolves questions/issues and responds to inquiries in an accurate and timely manner.

  • Provides support that includes researching, configuration, and resolving HRIS problems, unexpected results of process flaws; performs scheduled activities; recommends solutions or alternate methods to meet requirements on time.

  • Participate in the review, testing, and implementation of HRIS system upgrades, patches, or HR and payroll systems configuration projects and enhancements.

  • Analyze and review end-user requirements, streamline current data collection and workflow processes to provide useful results on a timely basis.

  • Assists end-users through support and escalation of issues.

  • Documents system design and processes for reference and education on processes and system functionality.

  • Ability to work independently and in collaborative settings.

  • Reviews and communicates feature release communications and the list of enhancements prior to the release.

  • Performs other duties as assigned or requested.

SKILL REQUIREMENTS:

  • 3-5 years of technical and relevant experience.

  • Strong listener with the ability to communicate effectively.

  • Proven experience in understanding operating systems, network technologies/protocols, software applications, and software system administration.

  • Proficiency in all Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Access, and Microsoft Word; as well as other database software required.

  • Must be able to work well under pressure with good organizational and project management skills.

  • BS/BA in Computer Science or related experience preferred.

  • Prior Human Resource and/or payroll experience, working in multi-state and manufacturing environments preferred.

  • 1-3 years of prior experience working in various Human Capital Management Systems strongly preferred; UKG a plus!
