Position Summary:

To clean all assigned areas in accordance with Big Cedar Lodge'sprocedure and standards.

Essential Duties and Responsibilitiesinclude the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Clean rooms and public spaces as outlined in the housekeeping manual and/or as directed by the Housekeeping Manager

  • Check all fixtures in room to ensure proper working order.

  • Communicate with dispatcher on clean rooms or room status changes and report maintenance defects in rooms.

  • Maintain an awareness of all safety procedures and guidelines as they relate to guests and associates.

  • Be knowledgeable of cleaning products, their proper uses and necessary personal protective equipment to perform the tasks with safety awareness in mind.

  • Be able to lift up to 50 pounds on a regular basis.

  • Provide professional, friendly service to all guests.

  • Perform other duties as required.

Qualifications:To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Education and/or Experience:High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Language Skills:Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.

Mathematical Skills:Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.

Reasoning Ability:Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:Be at least 18, have a safe driving record and a Missouri class "E" or Arkansas class "D: with a "P" endorsement driver's license.

Other Skills and Abilities:The ability to work well with a team, to prioritize, a sense of urgency and a real concern for guest satisfaction.
