Position Title ResNet Technology Consultant – Residence Life Computer Support

Student Status Work Study Optional –You are not required to be a Federal Work Study Recipient to hold this position.

Work Location Springfield Campus

Department Residence Life, Housing and Dining Services

Hiring Range 13.50/hour

Department/Employer Operating Hours Monday through Friday 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

How many hours per week are required? Flexible up to 20hrs per week

Description of Primary Duties

• Assisting students with technology issues

• Providing responses to technology related inquiries via email and ticketing systems

• Answering phone calls in the ResNet Computer Support Office

• Diagnosing and repairing student computers, tablets, phones, gaming systems, etc.

• Scheduling work orders and visiting student rooms to investigate and resolve connectivity problems

• Undertaking projects that add value to ResNet

Required Qualifications

• Must have working knowledge of computer operation, diagnostics, and troubleshooting practices

• Experience with repairs on computers, mobile devices, gaming consoles preferred

• Must be able to walk to work orders, reach behind or under desks, and lift up to 50 pounds

• Good communication and ability to work on a team is required

• Previous customer service experience is preferred

• Must meet Student Employee Handbook requirements
