Drive a tractor-trailer (single trailers only) OTR (over-the-road) with a weight capacity of 21,000 - 80,000 GVW. 100% no touch freight! Haul our refriderated 53' trailers throughout the lower 48! Most loads are live load but you will occasionally do a drop and hook load. You will be trained on a tractor equipped with cruise control, radar emergency braking, critical driving event tracking, camera lane control alerts, engine braking, Qualcomm GPS, continuous tractor monitoring, and 10-speed manual transmission, just to name a few. This is a great way to travel the lower 48 states. Under our C-seat driver apprentice program you will be required to complete 60,000 dispatched miles (trainer and apprentice miles both count for 60,000). An average week sees the truck driving 5,000 miles (half are your logged miles) and average "on-duty" hours per week are usually 60 to 70 hrs tracked on electronic logs. You will work a rotating shift driving days, evenings, and overnight. You and your trainer will rotate every one or two weeks between all shifts so you must be flexible on your work and sleep schedule. Most apprentices complete the 60,000 dispatched miles in 4 months or less depending on amount of home time taken. As w-2 trainee you will be paid a minimum gross of $900 p/week (pay increases based on daily hours worked) by weekly direct deposit in your account or loaded on company provided debit card. Home time is 4-days off for every 4 weeks worked and usually taken once every 30-days, but home time is not required for those who want to complete apprentice program ASAP! Benefits are available after 90 days and include health, dental, vision, 401k, and secure parking at terminal for your personal vehicle, just to name some.
