Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Needs to be able to run a track loader and /or Blade tractor. Must be able to read blueprints. Dig out for New Construction.
• Operates one or more of the following pieces of heavy construction equipment skillfully, safely, and in accordance with traffic laws and regulations: Excavators, Backhoes, Motor Graders, Rubber Tire Loaders, Track and Wheel Loaders, Dozers, and Skid Steer Loaders
• Follow all safety and environmental rules, regulations, and procedures as set forth by company policies and OSHA
• Operate and monitor all equipment and production area safely and efficiently
• Perform preventive maintenance and pre-shift inspections; repair and/or clean equipment as needed
• Communicate with the management team on all safety, maintenance, and production needs
• Perform other tasks as assigned by supervisor

Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:

• High school diploma, G.E.D. or equivalent
• Must have a valid drivers and Class A CDL license No Restrictions
• Knowledge of or ability to learn Occupational Safety Hazards and appropriate safety precautions and procedures.
• Must have reliable transportation
• Ability to work independently and/or with your crew to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA, OSHA, and other federal, state, and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.
• Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA, OSHA, and other federal, state, and local standards
• Can stand, sit, walk, reach, balance, stoop, kneel for long periods of time
• Ability to lift tools and equipment of 75lbs or greater
• Can see up close, distances, colors and has use of peripheral vision and depth perception
• Must be able to perform physically strenuous work outdoors in all types of weather
