Young Parent Programs Direct Care Supervisor Full Time Holyoke, MA, US Requisition ID: 1808 Salary Range: \$50,400.00 To 50,400.00 Annually The YWCA of Western MA is dedicated to eliminating racism and empowering survivors. The YW provides a safe place for survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, and human trafficking. Our programs and services include a crisis shelter and transitional housing for survivors and their families, counseling, SAFEPLAN court advocacy, community education, and supervised visitation. The YWCA provides services at several sites, including Holyoke, Northampton, Westfield, and our primary Springfield campus. The YWCA is seeking a Young Parent Program Direct Care Supervisor. This position is responsible for supporting the Program Director in oversight of the Young Parenting Program, serving teen mothers and their children ages 13-20. The Direct Care Supervisor supports the Direct Service Advocate team, consisting of approximately 15 - 20 staff, to ensure implementation of the Caring Together Model as well as full compliance with DCF standards and EEC licensing requirements. Reports to: Program Director Schedule: Full time; Sunday - Thursday, 3pm - 11pm, with flexibility to respond to crises and meet programmatic needs in addition to sharing responsibility for 24-hour on-call management FLSA Status: Exempt Starting Rate: \$50,400 annually Primary Responsibilities for the position include, but are not limited to: Supervision of employees and ensure staff members\' understanding of and full compliance with program policies and procedures including, but not limited to, mandated reporting, emergency procedures, transportation guidelines, particularly as it pertains to the use of personal vehicles for business purposes, and the storage of medication. Assist in daily management of the Young Parenting Program. Work effectively with residents\' family members, peer advocates, organizational partners, and other stakeholders central to resident care and serve as a point of contact for community partners, program interns, and volunteers Provide crisis counseling as needed Complete regular compliance audits of staff and client files Document resident activities, engagement, and outcomes and support program and outcomes reporting Contribute to all aspects of employee recruitment and retention including interviewing, on-boarding, supervision/coaching, professional development, and evaluation Assist with upkeep of facility and property Qualifications Bachelor\'s degree preferred in Social Work or Counseling plus 4 years of experience working with youth and their families; Prior supervisory experience with demonstrated ability to successfully manage projects; Experience with survivors of gender-based violence and exploitation; Experience addressing the impacts of decisions and actions on multiple communities; Understanding of both interpersonal and structural racism and bias; Must possess positive energy, sound judgment, ability to work independently as well as part of a team working effectively in partnership with program staff and leadership; Maintain high standard of meeting deadlines and achieving outcomes as defined by program; Ability to represent agency from a management perspective in an active union environment; Excellent written and organizational skills including computer skills; Must have knowledge of/contacts with community agencies; Must be able to be covered by the agency\'s insurance policy; and Experience working in a residential setting preferred; Experience working in residential setting and/or experience with adolescents and/or young parents and children preferred.
