Job Description
Oracle is seeking an experienced and driven Consulting Project Manager to join the Oracle Retail Global Business Unit (RGBU) Consulting organization. As a key member of the team, you will have the exciting opportunity to lead the implementation of Oracle's industry-leading retail software products for clients in the retail sector. The projects you manage will span global implementations of Point of Sale, CRM, Analytics, and other retail software, providing you with an opportunity to shape the future of retail technology worldwide.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead Project Delivery : Take full ownership of your projects, ensuring their success by effectively managing timelines, scope, quality, and client expectations.
Client Leadership & Advisory : Become a trusted advisor to clients by guiding them through the implementation of Oracle’s software solutions, addressing challenges, and providing strategic insights.
Proactive Issue Management : Anticipate potential issues before they arise and take corrective action to maintain project momentum and quality.
Stakeholder Communication : Lead regular client communications, ensuring transparency, managing expectations, and providing detailed project updates and progress reports.
Team Leadership : Lead and motivate a high-performing team of software engineers, business analysts, and QA professionals. Encourage a collaborative, self-directed work environment.
Project Financial Management : Oversee project budgets, ensuring the project remains on track financially while maintaining agreed margins.
Risk Mitigation : Identify potential risks early in the project and develop mitigation strategies to avoid slippage and ensure successful project delivery.
Agile Methodology : Utilize Agile methodologies, including Scrum and XP, to manage project workflows and improve development velocity and reliability.
Continuous Improvement : Focus on enhancing project processes and team performance, fostering a culture of innovation and excellence.

Responsibilities
Requirements:
Experience : 5+ years managing software implementation projects, with a proven track record of successfully leading projects involving at least 5 resources and budgets of $1M+.
Project Management Tools : Strong expertise in using MS Project for tracking and reporting project progress.
Communication Skills : Exceptional interpersonal, presentation, and communication skills. Ability to effectively present project status and demos to all levels within client organizations.
Agile Expertise : Familiarity with Agile methodologies (Scrum and/or XP) and a passion for improving development efficiency and software reliability.
Team Management : Ability to manage cross-functional teams effectively, providing guidance and problem-solving support when needed.
Client Relationship Management : Experience handling challenging client conversations and navigating complex stakeholder needs.
Project Financials : Proven ability to track, manage, and report on project financials, ensuring projects stay within scope and budget.
Certifications : PMP certification preferred.
Industry Experience : Retail industry experience is a plus, but not required.
Travel Commitment : Up to 50% domestic and international travel required for project kick-offs, requirements gathering, and key project milestones.

Range and benefit information provided in this posting are specific to the stated locations only
US: Hiring Range in USD from: $79,100 to $158,200 per annum. May be eligible for bonus and equity.
Oracle maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as reflect Oracle’s differing products, industries and lines of business.
Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.

Paid time off: Flexible Vacation is provided to all eligible employees assigned to a salaried (non-overtime eligible) position. Accrued Vacation is provided to all other employees eligible for vacation benefits. For employees working at least 35 hours per week, the vacation accrual rate is 13 days annually for the first three years of employment and 18 days annually for subsequent years of employment. Vacation accrual is prorated for employees working between 20 and 34 hours per week. Employees working fewer than 20 hours per week are not eligible for vacation.
