Job Details:
The Director of Sales for Dollar/Drug & Amazon is responsible for achieving overall sales, growth, and profitability objectives for Tyson Foods, Inc.
The role is responsible for the day to selling activities across the customer base and coordinating with our enterprise team to support the construction of annual Joint Growth Plans with all customers in alignment with Tyson\'s Strategy, Core Values, Cultural Tenets, and Customer Commitment. Each JGP will include key large initiatives to grow business with the customers through partnership and win/win scenarios for both customer and Tyson. The director will work both internally across businesses, the sales team, and externally to ensure execution of the AOP and long-term strategic plans within the channel.
This position will have regular touch base/connection and successfully manage relationship with the appropriate customer contacts. This connectivity is to ensure partnership and alignment of strategies and initiatives. This leader will also inspire the Tyson team members to push beyond its past successes and open a new chapter of growth, including a deep focus on people development, team performance, strategic business planning and execution.
- Achieve Tyson volume and financial objectives in Annual Operating
Plan along with the following:
- Dollars and lbs shipped vs plan by BU and segment
- Maximizing trade spend ROI on budget/guidelines
- Deliver team T&E vs budget
- Drive market share & TPD\'s by category
- Expand our core business and develop new businesses that align with Tyson strategic objectives
- Shipment forecast accuracy vs goal by BU; measured weekly
- Build/Maintain strong and effective relationships with the appropriate leaders at all corporate account customers
- Merchandising, marketing, replenishment, sustainability
- Establish Tyson as \"best in class\" thought and strategic leadership
- Align and execute strategies for Tyson\'s businesses
- Build annual operating plan with business units and sales, strategy, & planning team
- Lead quarterly reviews with Tyson executive team
- Communicate effectively with Internal and External Customers
- Create and maintain a trusting/open communication with Business Unit partners, CS&E, Total Store Leadership team, and the Customer
- Partner with cross-functional teams, with the ability to influence across the organization resulting in timely coordination of resource utilization
- Champion Innovation in Product, Process, Organization, and Programs
- Successfully execute product innovation
- Bring opportunities to participate in customer brands (private label) where it aligns with Tyson\'s strategy
- Lead, Develop, and Coach a high performing Team

Requirements:
- Education: BA, BS, or MBA
- Experience: Proven track record of building profitable growth, prefer a background of CPG and commodity businesses. Minimum of 10 years of successfully selling, servicing, and building relationships in the Food/Grocery business
- Computer Skills: Strong computer skills
- Communication Skills: Strong communication skills - oral and written
- Special Skil s: Strategic leadership and the ability to effectively translate strategy into action; Trade management expertise; Ability to use syndicated data; Forecasting/Budget development and management experience; Strong sales management and accountability skills; Ability to manage complexity.
