Description

We are offering a long-term, part-time contract employment opportunity for a Tax Analyst in Spring, Texas. The Tax Analyst will be required to work 3 days a week and a hybrid schedule is available after training.

Responsibilities of the Part-time Tax Analyst:

• Run monthly report for new counterparties and existing counterparties with new states

• Update exemption certificate checklist

• Request and send exemption certificates to counterparties and follow-up with request

• Responsible for monitoring the taxes inbox emails and respond to requests timely

• Follow-up with refund claims

• Reconcile sales tax and state income tax accounts

• Assist in gathering documentation to support audit

Requirements

• The candidate must have a minimum of 1 year of experience in accounting or tax.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.

• Knowledge of Sales Tax returns is preferred.

• The candidate must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• A bachelor's degree in accounting or related field is required.

• The candidate must have strong organizational and multitasking skills.

• Problem-solving and analytical skills are required.

• The candidate should have a keen attention to detail.

• The candidate should have the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
