Strike Talent Development Specialist II in Spring, Texas

This Talent Development Specialist II role is an opportunity for the right individual to create and build a Talent Development function from the ground up in a highly energetic and growth focused organization. In this role, you will promote, implement, and support programs designed to develop management capabilities throughout the workforce which are aligned with the leadership development strategy and strategic business imperatives. Support activities include training, coaching, professional development, and participating in planning of experiential assignments. This role includes the opportunity to engage with senior leaders through analysis and reporting of the Talent Development efforts and results. The work location for this role is the Strike corporate office in Spring, TX reporting to the CHRO and currently has no direct reports.

Job Summary:

The Talent Development Specialist II will promote, implement, and support programs designed to develop management capabilities throughout the workforce which are aligned with the leadership development strategy and strategic business imperatives. Support activities include training, coaching, professional development, and participating in planning of experiential assignments. Prepares analysis and reporting of the leadership development efforts and results. The work location for this role is the Strike corporate office in Spring, TX, will report to the CHRO, and has no direct reports. 

Primary Job Function:

  • Identify, implement, facilitate, administrate, and provide coaching for the leadership development programs, assessments, and experiences aligned with the leadership development strategy.   Actively participate in leadership development strategy sessions, succession planning, potential assessments, and the creation of slates of individuals identified for specific leadership development activities and experiences.

  • Define, track, and report key performance indicators/metrics within the area of responsibility to ensure organizational awareness and visibility on the talent development activities and results.

  • Purposefully link Talent Develop programs and initiatives with the organization’s Mission, Vision, and Values.

  • Prepare ad hoc reports for Senior Leadership Team as requested.

  • Conduct regular quality assurance assessments on processes and procedures within the area of responsibility to ensure process/procedure compliance and an effective process discipline is achieved.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

    Experience:

  • 2+ years of experience in Talent or Organizational Development role.

  • Experience engaging or interacting with Senior Leadership is a plus.

  • Designing development training and creating a Leadership Development Strategy is a plus.

  • Experience Performance Management is a plus.

  • Reporting on key performance indicators for the Talent Development function is preferred.

  • Applicant tracking, HRIS, and other recruiting systems experience preferred.

  • Training program design experience is a plus.

    Education/Training:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Organizational Behavior/Development or Training & Development, or 5 years of equivalent experience managing programs in those same disciplines.

  • CIPD membership and ATD Certification a plus.

    Competencies:

  • Excellent teamwork/soft skills.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

  • Strong analytical, process, and problem-solving methodology.

  • Effective reporting skills/experience.

  • Effective understanding of local, state, and federal laws involving employment, HR, and data privacy.

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.

  • Proficient with or the ability to quickly learn the organization’s HRIS, payroll, and similar human resource management software and practices.

    Physical Demands:

  • Regularly required to sit, talk, and hear.

  • Occasionally required to reach with hands and arms to grasp.

  • Occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds.
