Job Description

A client of Insight Global is looking for a Lead 3D CAD Modeler to join their digital transformation team. This person will be responsible for leading and overseeing the 3D CAD Modelers within their team. They will be responsible for reading and understanding the 2D Naval Architectural drawing and oversee the team that will be converting them to 3D CAD Models. This will be done using Aveva, Integraph Smart 3D, and Siemens NX software. This person will be leading a team of up to 4 modelers at a time. This candidate must be local to Houston, as they must be willing to go on-site 3 days a week.

Skills and Requirements

5+ years of project planning and team lead experience

3+ years of experience using Aveva, Integraph Smart 3D, and Siemens NX software.

3+ years of experience in 3D CAD Modeling

Basic Knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office

Marine and Offshore experience CAD experience unique to shipping

Certificate of Drafting or CAD (Computer Aided Drafting/Design)

Bachelor's/ Associates Degree null
