DESCRIPTION OF WORK In this position, you will be responsible for assigning and supervising employees who handle custodial and laundry duties, such as mopping, cleaning, disposing of trash, aseptic cleaning, and collecting and distributing laundry. You will create work schedules and keep time records for the custodial staff. Additionally, you will instruct team members on the proper use of cleaning equipment, detergents, chemicals, hazardous materials, and infectious waste, ensuring they adhere to safety precautions while carrying out their duties. It is important to perform all work in accordance with DMVA's general safety guidelines.

Work Schedule and Additional Information: Full-time employment, 7.5 hours per day, 37.5 hours per week Work hours are 1st shift (6:30 AM to 2:30 PM), Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch. Evening and weekend work may be required as necessary. Salary:In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable. You will receive further communication regarding this position via email. QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements: One year as a Custodial Worker 2 (commonwealth title); or Two years of experience performing custodial work.
Additional Requirement: You must be able to perform essential job functions.
Preferred Qualifications (not required):
Willing to work in Chester County, PA
Willing to work full-time schedule (6:30 AM to 2:30 PM)
Experience as a custodian, janitor, or cleaning person (Experience might include such things as cleaning restrooms; cleaning resident rooms, offices or public areas; mopping, scrubbing, dusting, sweeping, and buffing.)
Experience working as a lead worker in the custodial, janitorial, or housekeeping field
Experience in an assisted living facility, nursing home or hospital
Experience doing aseptic cleaning and sanitation
Experience handling hazardous or infectious waste or medical waste disposal
Legal Requirements: A conditional offer of employment will require a medical examination. This position falls under the provisions of the Older Adult Protective Services Act. Under the Act, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports, including but not limited to, PA State Police and FBI clearance.
