Position Details:
Summary of Duties:
The project manager works collaboratively with the Senior Director of Strategic Management (SDSM) to coordinate and perform project management tasks for the implementation of the college's 5-year strategic plan.
The project manager works collaboratively with the SDSM and Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) Manager to coordinate and perform project management tasks for the perpetual accreditation process and CQI initiatives for the College of Medicine.
The project manager works collaboratively with the Director of Information Technology and Data Management to coordinate and perform project management tasks that support transparent, inclusive, data-informed decision-making in collaboration with the university, the health sciences campus, and all other campuses in the WSU system.
The project manager will support the SDSM by overseeing the daily operations of the Project Management Office (PMO) function for the Office of the Dean including coordinating and performing project management tasks on key initiatives to align work with strategic goals, improvement efforts, technology implementation. The position operates with a high level of independence while engaging with faculty, staff, and students across all units and college locations to guide, train, share and implement best practices in project management.

Required Qualifications:
A Bachelor's degree in a field relevant to area of specialization and three (3) years of experience directly related to the specialty area. Any combination of relevant education and experience may be substituted for the educational requirement on a year-for-year basis.
Additional Requirements:
• Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to interact with all levels of the organization.
• Experience coordinating and implementing projects and process improvements.
• Experience utilizing project management software and tools to track project progress and communicate with team members.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience with business intelligence and analysis.
• Experience with continuous quality improvement processes.
• Demonstrated experience with system development life cycle and project management principles.
• Experience at an LCME accredited medical school.
