Description The LSC Lending Business Analyst is responsible for understanding and managing the technical requirements of the department. This role serves as the conduit between the LSC and IT departments, through which requirements flow, requiring a unique combination of skills; an operational mindset and a history of using technology and data to solve business problems Responsibilities include oversight of policies and procedures, technical expertise on systems and software used within the department, ad-hoc reporting and expert and detailed knowledge of the department unit, to encompass special projects, training support, and continuous improvement. In addition, they may assist other areas of the bank serving on project teams and acting as the lead operational representative for the Loan Service Center (LSC). Positively supports management and leads team through philosophy and policy changes. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Systems Management: Maintains overall knowledge of general banking practices and commercial and consumer lending functions in the LSC. Collaborates with LSC Management Team in the creation of business cases and project requests. Assists in coordinating with outside departments to resolve operational challenges as it relates to existing and new technology. Leads department efforts to leverage, maintain and upgrade all components and serve as subject matter expert on the same. Reviews and discusses software release notes with department managers on all major software applications associated with lending. Oversees the documentation and training of new features available in software upgrades, and determines which features should be enabled or not enabled based on business needs May act as the Risk Management Ambassador for department communications related to information security and dissemination of network updates and user setups. Oversees system parameter updates, provides support to staff on PC software, participates in testing, product development, and department related projects in a multi-system environment. Tracks and reports outstanding issues, working through these issues with IT and software developers, communicating results to end-user. Participates in and/or coordinates projects designed to enhance productivity and implementation of new software and procedures. Facilitates clear and timely communication between end users, IT, and vendors to ensure success. Production and Compliance: Supports and directs complex LSC operations functions across all lines of business and within the department. Collaborates with production teams in the LSC. Reviews and recommends new methods and procedures to make daily operations more efficient and effective. Participates in or coordinates projects designed to enhance productivity, introduce new products or services or implementation of new software or procedures associated with changing business needs and lending regulations. Tracks information on team production levels for monthly operational management reporting; performs trend analysis necessary to make recommendations to manage growth and improve effectiveness. Works with LSC Management Team in support of audit/compliance reviews. Serves as subject matter expert to test and implement new products and systems, analyzing preferences and requests of end users during the process. Works closely with business partners to interpret laws and regulations and implement documentation and training for the department as needed. Perform compliance and risk management duties as required or assigned. Works with LSC Management Team in support of Internal Controls. Maintains a working knowledge of Internal Controls with particular attention to Key Controls.
