Responsibilities
Job Summary
Under the guidance of a Senior Consultant or Manager, the FQHC Strategy Consultant I will contribute to the FQHC Strategy Team through basic research, analysis, and client deliverables while developing expertise in FQHC strategy, healthcare policy, and financial modeling. This role is ideal for an early-career professional looking to build technical skills in healthcare consulting.
Through structured mentorship, the FQHC Strategy Consultant I will gain hands-on experience in Medicaid/Medicare policy, financial and clinical data analysis, and regulatory compliance. As they grow in the role, they will take on increasing responsibility for strategic and analytical contributions, applying insights to real-world challenges. A learning and growth mindset, strong problem-solving skills, and attention to detail are essential for success.
Essential Responsibilities:
Performs basic research on state and federal Medicaid and Medicare policy to inform client advisory services deliverables.
Contributes to client engagements by completing basic reports, presentations, and analytical models based on guidance from senior team members.
Assists in client meetings, documenting key takeaways, preparing materials, and supporting follow-up actions such as contract execution and regulatory submissions.
Manages own workstreams to provide clear and timely project status updates to FQHC team members.
Completes quantitative analysis using spreadsheets, generally of large clinical data sets, financial transactions, and financial projections as directed by FQHC team members.
Engages with state and federal regulators, applying a professional, proactive approach to track submission statuses and ensure timely follow-through on regulatory requirements.
Learns the FQHC Strategy content library, leveraging standardized frameworks, templates, and industry best practices to enhance project deliverables.
Completes portions of assigned technical and strategic project assignments under the direction of senior team members.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience in the community healthcare space
1+ years’ work experience a plus
One year of community healthcare experience preferred
Ability to plan, prioritize, and organize own work effectively
Ability to balance projects simultaneously
Ability to work under pressure and time deadlines
Ability to analyze data and recommend solutions
Excellent Written, Verbal and Presentation skills
Proficient in Word, Excel, and Outlook

Wipfli values fair, transparent, and competitive compensation, considering each candidate's unique skills and experiences. The estimated base pay range for this role is $47,000 to $78,000, with offers typically not made at the maximum, allowing for future salary increases. The actual salary at the time of offer depends on business related factors like location, skills, experience, training/education, licensure, certifications, business needs, current associate pay, and relevant employment laws.
Individuals may be eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, subject to participation rules and based on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual and Firm performance.
