An established company is seeking a detail-oriented Cost Accounting Specialist to join its finance team. This role plays a critical part in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial data across various accounting operations, including General Accounting, Payroll, and Cash Management.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage daily accounting operations and ensure financial integrity by applying fundamental accounting principles and practices.

• Prepare and review monthly financial statements and perform analytical reviews to maintain accurate accounting records.

• Perform account reconciliations (including bank and bank card statements), analyze the effects of transactions, and advise leadership on accounting matters.

• Support month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring all transactions and reports are aligned with accounting standards.

• Maintain and optimize the ERP system, conduct inventory reconciliations, and ensure compliance with accounting regulations.

• Execute treasury functions such as ACH and wire transfers and prepare payroll reports.

• Assist with regulatory reporting, including excise taxes, business licenses, and other required filings.

• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and support the Controller in maintaining standard operating procedures (SOPs) and financial metrics.

SALARY RANGE: $28.00 - $32.00 per hour DOE

  Requirements

Qualifications:

• Strong understanding of cost accounting principles, financial reporting, and general accounting practices.

• Ability to analyze complex financial data and provide insightful recommendations.

• Experience with ERP systems, account reconciliations, and financial reporting processes.

• Familiarity with payroll and treasury operations.

• Detail-oriented with excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

• A proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement.
