Northwest Farm Credit Services Business Intelligence Developer in Spokane, Washington

We serve customers in 59 locations throughout the West. We are in search of a Business Intelligence Developer to join our Data Management department in Spokane, Washington (Headquarters). This full-time position reports to the Director of Business Intelligence and is responsible for collecting, clarifying, and translating data requirements into documentation and conceptual design from which solutions are developed. This position is eligible for a hybrid work schedule and one-time home office stipend after initial training period. Compensation Information The base salary range for this position in Spokane, Washington is: Level I: $63,000 - $95,000; bonus at target is 10% of salary. Level Il: $69,000 - $108,000; bonus at target is 12% of salary. Job Requirements Deliver quality solutions to automate and/or improve existing data reporting and analysis processes and participate in developing new business intelligence tools. Utilize comprehensive understanding of organization's business to work with internal stakeholders, including IT project teams, analysts, and business stakeholders to develop high-level requirements that align business intelligence solutions with intended business outcomes. Participate in and/or perform cost/benefit analysis in technical solutions design and build that consistently, identify upstream and downstream impacts. Participate in solutions design, using appropriate tools and models to ensure usability, and ensure interface needs and stated business outcomes are met. Clearly articulate and document business requirements including communications, training needs, procedures, and effective communications to ensure adoption of new processes across the organization. Review and test solutions in both a primary and secondary role to ensure accurate results prior to release for production. Aid in the development, maintenance, and compliance of data governance standards. Serve as a technical expert for supporting mission critical data. Perform all duties and maintain all standards in accordance with company policies, procedures, and internal controls. Other duties as assigned. Minimum Requirements Bachelor's degree in information technology, data analytics, accounting or related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Generally, requires at least one year's experience as a business intelligence developer, or a similar role, ideally in financial institution operations. Proficiency with at least one data analysis tool such as R, Python, SQL and PowerBI. Ability to identify areas for process improvement and translate ambiguous needs into functional requirements. Demonstrated intellectual curiosity and ability to structure and solve problems. Ability to plan, prioritize, organize and control assigned activities with competing timelines. Ability to work independently and as a member of a team. Preferred Requirements Proficiency with multiple data analysis tools including R, Python, SQL and PowerBI. Familiarity with databases, data integration, data modeling and reporting. Experience with code management best practices. Basic understanding of project management concepts.
