Humanix Manual Machinist in Spokane Valley, Washington

We are seeking a skilled Manual Machinist to come and work with this fast-paced, well-known manufacturer in Spokane Valley, WA. In this role, you will operate lathes, mills, grinders, and other machines to produce parts and components, primarily focusing on manual machining. CNC knowledge is a plus. You will work within aerospace tolerances and may need to rework parts to meet specifications. Interested? Please read on!

 

Compensation for the Manual Machinist

 

  • $20 -- $26 Per Hour DOE
  • Monday -- Thursday, 6am -- 4:30pm

Responsibilities for the Manual Machinist

 

  • Operate manual lathes, mills, grinders, and other machinery to produce parts and tooling.
  • Measure finished workpieces for conformance to specifications using precision instruments, templates, and fixtures.
  • Replace dull cutting tools as needed.
  • Mount, align, and secure tools, attachments, and workpieces on machines using hand tools and precision instruments.
  • Monitor machine operation and adjust settings to address issues such as dull tools or excessive vibration.
  • Adjust machine feed, speed, or controls as necessary to maintain production quality and resolve malfunctions.
  • Stop machines to remove finished workpieces or change tooling, setup, or workpiece placement.
  • Lift workpieces to machines manually or with hoists.
  • Calculate machine speed, feed ratios, and cutting dimensions.
  • Move materials, tools, fixtures, and equipment as required.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

     

Requirements for the Manual Machinist

 

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 1 year of manual machining or manufacturing experience (preferred).
  • Experience with MasterCam (preferably 2018 version).
  • CNC experience (4-axis experience a plus).
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work well in a team.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. occasionally.
