Job Title: Machinist/Programmer

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Machinist/Programmer to join our team. You will work under the supervision of the Manufacturing Manager, operating a CNC Haas SD 30 mill and lathe. This role involves creating, writing, editing, and setting up programs with Mastercam. You will work with heavy steel, loading and offloading materials, and producing one-off parts in a job shop environment.

Responsibilities

  • Operate CNC Haas SD 30 mill and lathe

  • Create, write, edit, and set up programs using Mastercam

  • Work with heavy steel, loading and offloading materials

  • Program, set up, and run multiple parts efficiently each day

  • Utilize Haas Controls and Mastercam for machining operations

  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues with machinery

  • Read blueprints and build to specifications

  • Perform quality control inspections on completed work

Essential Skills

  • Experience with CNC lathe and/or CNC mill

  • Proficiency in programming, setup, and running parts

  • Knowledge of Haas Controls and Mastercam

  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve machining issues

  • Skill in reading blueprints and building to specifications

  • Performing quality control inspections

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Previous machinist experience

  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment

  • Excellent time management skills

  • Familiarity with manual mills and lathes

  • Working knowledge of metal fabrication

  • Detail-oriented

  • Experience with feeds and speeds

  • Mechanically inclined

  • Self-motivated

  • Willingness to work overtime

  • Excellent attendance and punctuality

  • Ability to adhere to company policies and procedures

  • Physical ability to stand, walk, lift (up to 50lb), bend, and squat frequently to constantly

Work Environment

You will work in a large shop with only two machinists in the machining department. We value employees with good tenure and a positive attitude. The position requires frequent to constant standing, walking, lifting, bending, and squatting.

This is a Contract position based out of Spokane Valley, Washington.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $27.00 - $35.00
