If you are passionate about helping people and have a drive for service, then this opportunity could be a great next career step! $19.46 - $27.25 USD Hourly Our Collections Representative is responsible for contacting individuals with overdue accounts to arrange payment, maintain accurate records of communications and transactions, and ensure timely collection of outstanding debts: work closely with customers to resolve payment issues, negotiate repayment plans, and provide excellent customer service to maintain positive relationships while reducing delinquency rates. You Will: Manage patient accounts by researching rejections and updating insurance. Post patient, insurance payments and adjustments. Establish payment arrangements per company policy. Collaborate with our collection vendor.and communicate directly with patients regarding their financial responsibility from services provided by Incyte. Cover phone shift and return voicemails and emails. Perform other related duties as assigned. Qualifications: Education/Certifications High school diploma or equivalent. Skills and Abilities Fast and accurate computer keyboarding skills including 10-key. Proficient with Microsoft Office programs. Ability to use standard office equipment (fax, copier, scanner, etc) Strong communication and negotiation skills. Professional and courteous phone skills. Ability to multitask efficiently. Ability to manage sensitive customer interactions with professionalism. Attention to detail and excellent organizational abilities. Ability to work with minimal supervision. Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment. Preferred Qualifications: Minimum one year experience in a medical office, collections, or insurance billing. Previous customer service experience. Intermediate capabilities in Excel. Knowledge of medical terminology. Experience with Centricity Group Management software. Certified Professional Biller (CPB) by AAPC.
