Description
We are currently partnering with a well-established manufacturing company in Spokane Valley, WA, to find an experienced Bookkeeper. This contract or contract-to-hire opportunity is perfect for someone with strong full-cycle accounting experience and a passion for accuracy and efficiency. Industry experience in manufacturing is a plus, but not required.
About the Role: This opportunity offers a chance to join a busy and growing manufacturer where you’ll manage a variety of bookkeeping and accounting duties. Your work will contribute directly to the smooth operation of the organization’s finance function.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage full-cycle accounting processes, including accounts payable (AP), accounts receivable (AR), payroll, reconciliations, and month-end close.
Perform bank and credit card reconciliations with accuracy and attention to detail.
Maintain the general ledger, ensuring transactions are appropriately classified and recorded.
Process invoices, employee expense reports, and purchase orders for accuracy and compliance.
Support the preparation of financial statements and other management reports as needed.
Collaborate with the finance team to ensure deadlines are met and accurate financial reporting.
Provide support for audits, budget preparation, and special projects as assigned.
Requirements
Experience: Minimum of 3 years of bookkeeping or full-cycle accounting experience; prior experience in manufacturing is helpful but not necessary.
Technical Proficiency: Strong knowledge of general accounting principles, bookkeeping best practices, and experience working with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, or similar).
Attention to Detail: A sharp eye for detail and accuracy to ensure financial records are error-free.
Problem-Solving: Ability to troubleshoot and resolve discrepancies efficiently.
Communication Skills: Clear and professional communication to work effectively with vendors, clients, and team members.
Education: Associate’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred; equivalent work experience will also be considered.
